Adios, Omarito

When a friend of mine from NYC informed about Omar's death few days ago, I couldn't help to sighing "Another wonderful Milongauero has gone!" :-(( Lately, heart attack takes so many lives of people I know or admire!

I didn't know Omar personally, nor did I had chance to take up his classes, but I'm sure that his unique style and inspiration, especially to Ta.Tango's most favourite dance - Milonga, will still be "together" with us for long long long time!

Rest in peace, Omarito. Gracias por tu existencia!

Ziusha at Walter and Margarita workshops

Although IXI Danza (Tango Singapore) emailed info on Tango festival happening last weekend I was still surprised to get to Margarita and Walter’s (www.cardozo-klurfan.com) performances and social dancing. Amazing energy, masterful cheography and very charming personalities! As soon as I saw their performances, on the next day I packed my shoes and headed for their workshops. Well, despite changes on time of the workshop, somehow I got to the scheduled Sacada workshop. I was so lucky cause there were not many people and teachers were so sincere in answering my numerous questions so I kind of felt that I was in a private class ☺

The class started with an usual dancing so that the teachers can spot us and make further comments. Then the sequences, step-by-step they were getting more and more difficult. At the end I forgot the last part of sequence ;( BUT the most wonderful thing about these lovely teachers is that they answer all my questions about techniques and tips. So, I left the class not empty-handed ☺ Margarita and Walter were so caring and explained so clearly in simple words the ways of doing moves, the body position, foot placement, connection… Extremely useful info which make me happy to pay quite a big sum (for Vietnamese standard) to be at their lessons.

Some pictures may show the spirit of the workshops :-) http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=4079501&id=616675453
