Martín Villafañe, an internationally acclaimed tango dancer and
teacher comes to Vietnam at Casa de Tango to start a new school of
Argentine Tango.
Martín started to dance tango at 3 and now,
thirty years later, he shows already a lifetime of experience. Twice
semifinalist in the World Tango championship and once in the
Metropolitan Tango championship, Martin comes to Vietnam after a long
tournée of teaching and dancing in Europe. Born in Cordoba, where he is a very recognized
figure in the local tango community, Martín is already a porteño, as he
has lived and danced in Buenos Aires for almost ten years. Among his
teachers there were Adriana Martín, Jessica Grumberg y Gustavo Benzencry
Saba, Daniel Lapadula . He dances and teaches salon style tango like
the old milongueros did, in the golden years, with a very natural and
elegant movement.He
performed in many theatres in Buenos Aires with the company Alive Tango
and has extensively toured Latin America with the company America Joven.Through his milonguero style, his embrace, his musicality, and, of
course, his latino fire, he transmits the passion and emotion of the
real Argentinian tango dance.
He is highly appreciated by his
students for his personal constructive learning method which makes the
learning of tango very pleasant and exciting.
