TANGOXPOSED 2011: HO CHI MINH CITY - SAVE THE DATE!

HO CHI MINH CITY– Twelve days and counting. Be among the select group of Argentine Tango travelers who gather each year for the much-awaited boutique destination, TANGOXPOSED. A showcase of only the best artists in the industry, TANGOXPOSED 2011 on 3 – 6 November will feature another headline name in the world of Tango –Gustavo Russoof the world’s leading extravaganza,Tango Seduccion, together with his wife and partnerSamanta Garcia.


Four days of dance, culture, learning and connecting await you through workshops and private coaching by the featured artists, alongside the range of signature activities exposing Tango in its many facets. This year’s programme includes the staple Master’s Night, Art Exhibition and Tango Championship; plus an inaugural Tango Fashion Review showcasing haute couture Tango & Latin Fashion.

Gustavo & Samanta’s teaching and performance will be supported by the equally strong dance couples of the newly-formed Stefano Fava & Gisela Vidal partnership, and the familiar duo, Julieta Biscione & Roberto Castillo. Guillermina Quiroga & Hugo Daniel as previously announced have been rescheduled to a future event.
TANGOXPOSED 2011 promises a diverse convergence of participants from Bali, Bangkok, Brunei, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Singapore, Sydney, Perth, Guam and Hawaii – all signifying their intention to celebrate the Tango with Vietnamese hosts from the twin cities of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
As one of Southeast Asia’s fast-emerging economies, Vietnam is at the cusp of developing its arts and design capabilities for the global industry – making it an ideal backdrop for this year’s TANGOXPOSED. The capital, Ho Chi Minh City (formerly named Saigon), is steeped in culture, history and modernisation – having once been a French colony during what was then the Golden Age of Tango; and is also the site of 20th century world events that were to shape the nation and the region.
