Argentine tango artist Guillermo Claure will perform in town

The Saigon Tango Week with Guillermo Claure will take place at Ta Tango Club from December 7 to 16 at Windsor Plaza Hotel District 5.

The Argentine tango artist will hold private workshops and three days of public workshops and Milonga nights.

To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the club hosts this big event which includes workshops at the Windsor Plaza Hotel. Joining the workshops, visitors will be lectured by Claure about basic tango steps, Rebotes-introduction to boleos, different walk style, techniques for control axis, and work with natural steps, technique for pivot, and different ochos styles, with pivot and potusing pivot, techniques for giro, natural positions, different directions, resources to address changes in the dance floor and Vales with basic steps.

Milonga nights will be also performed by Tango artists and local tango band. These night will be special with DJ Bao Anh from Hong Kong, Gulllermo from Argentina and Tony from Vietnam.

Claure from Buenos Aires, Argentina began training 17 years ago. As a professional Tango dancer and teacher, he has performed at shows, festivals and taught students all over South American and Asia. He participated in the Shanghai Expo 2010 and is currently a professor in Tokyo, Japan.
Ta.Tango is a family and among founders of Tango Hanoi and Tango Hochiminh city (Saigon) communities, first couple of Tango Vietnam pursues traditional Tango Salon style. Ta Tango Club hosts weekly Milongas, practicas, lessons and other Tango activities.
